We are seeking a Laboratory Associateto join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Valencia, CA.

As the Specimen Management Associate, you will be responsible forassisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt of clinical specimens.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provides administrative and technical support to the lab.

• Maintains glassware for the laboratory

• Washes, rinses, dries, distributes and stores glassware such as test tubes, beakers, flasks and cylinder

• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work areas including disinfecting workbenches, materials, equipment and other laboratory areas.

• Prepares and sterilizes laboratory supplies, equipment and other materials.

• Responsible for tube labeling and preparation.

• Facilitates post-analysis storage and sample banking.

• May conduct routine equipment maintenance.
  

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required.

• Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.  

• Basic Computer skills.

• Maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
