Hospital Procedure Data (HPD) and Medicare Part B data are a critical part of the IQVIA MedTech portfolio, providing our clients with visibility to the volume of procedures happening by each Physician and Hospital in the country. This data allows our client to do market sizing, distribute their sales territories, target KOLs, target top performers in a space, and understand their market share.

The diversity of this role and the data creates a dynamic work life encompassing external client sales and grounded by internal teamwork. This individual will work closely with the other HPD Sales Specialist, the Sales Specialists of other products, the Key Account Managers, and the Integrated Solution Specialist to create dynamic and targeted solutions for our clients. Additionally, work with the Hospital Procedure and Diagnosis Delivery team’s engagement Managers, Consultants, and Offerings Managers to create detailed customized solutions for our clients in a consultative sales approach while remaining in close contact with the client to ensure the successful delivery of the solution.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and closes new business for Hospital Procedure Data (HPD) and related services to Medical Device and Diagnostic Manufacturers, providing product expertise and sales leadership to identify & qualify revenue opportunities, proactively manage the selling process, and close the sale in both existing and new accounts. Grows revenue by leveraging the full IQVIA offerings and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Achieves growth & revenue targets for assigned product through a consultative sales approach that solves client business issues.
  • Clients can be anywhere in the development process, from clinical trials to many years on the market and can range in size from start-ups to Top 5 MedTech companies.
  • Proactively strengthens in-depth knowledge of product and its application within a client’s enterprise.
  • Participates with Account Directors and KAMs to establish account planning strategy as it relates to assigned product area.
  • Collaborates with go to market team to target and validate opportunities for assigned customers.
  • Interfaces with customer at all levels, including sales, marketing teams, market intelligence, and sales operations.
  • Creates and presents client proposals that result in winning sales.
  • As necessary, identifies and manages resources to develop proposals that position IQVIA capabilities & solutions to customers.
  • Monitors delivery, implementation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Seeks “starburst” opportunities within existing customers to grow revenue opportunities across the IQVIA suite of offerings.
  • As part of the sales process, gathers market and client intelligence and provides strategic feedback to Marketing, Consulting, Service, and Sales to strengthen offerings and capture additional business.
  • Has a solid understanding of business, financials, products/services, the MedTech and Medical Device markets and the needs of assigned accounts; may help develop colleagues' understanding; may be recognized as an expert in one area.
  • Has high level of authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Home based/remote with willingness to travel up to 40% and work east coast hours.
  • 2+ years prior Sales experience with data assets and data service solutions preferred.
  • Prior Medical Device / MedTech industry experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to develop a deep knowledge of one or more IQVIA specialty products along with subject matter expertise relating to client business processes that are improved by the IQVIA solution.
  • Ability to become familiar with multiple IQVIA offerings and work with account management to integrate all products to one solution.
  • Must be a superior and successful salesperson, have excellent presentation and writing skills, act with a sense of urgency, and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have successful experience identifying and closing new business opportunities and developing positive relationships at all levels of client management.
  • Must be revenue driven, knowledgeable, consultative, a problem solver, customer focused, creative, resourceful, fast & flexible, team player, organized, and an effective negotiator.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $66,800.00 - $100,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
